ADP is hiring a Sr. Director of Strategic Planning

In this role, you will drive valuable business development by using your strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the administrative and operational oversight of the ADP Lyric HCM organization. You will be the right-hand person of the VP of ADP Lyric HCM, preparing presentations and business proposals by attaining a deep understanding of the ecosystem and collaborating with the VPs of the various businesses. You will create wide reaching communications and plan, coordinate, and keep the contents of senior level meetings focused.
The nature of what you do every day will not change – your #1 goal is to help drive the success of the ADP Lyric HCM associates and clients. You will track the work activities of assigned duties pertaining to the development, implementation, and execution of a wide variety of initiatives used to support the growth of the business units focused on ADP Lyric HCM: Implementation, Service, Project Services, Talent, among others. Still, every day will be different because the questions you receive will vary, as will the solutions you provide.
To thrive in this role, you will work closely with senior leaders to identify risks in proposals, build consensus and explain difficult information. You will be an external thought leader that can influence the strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues, proactively identify and solve the most complex problems that impact management and direction of the business. You will gather and utilize information from other areas of ADP that may benefit ADP Lyric HCM. This role functions as a liaison between and among various departments and business units in order to effectively ensure that our associates, leaders, and clients have the right support and strategic focus. Complete knowledge of the ADP organization and systems are required. You may conduct or facilitate periodic reviews of achievements and performance against strategic plans.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:
• Act as the Strategic Planning Leader, reporting to the VP ADP Lyric HCM.
• Use strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the operations of ADP Lyric HCM.
• Lead and implement various strategic planning processes across the ADP Lyric HCM ecosystem.
• Matrixed leadership responsibility of the ADP Lyric HCM program management and continuous improvement teams, to meet overall program objectives and drive business strategy and vision.
• Prepare presentations, business proposals, and other communications with excellence and flair, for audiences up to and including C-suite level.
• Collaborate with SLT members to determine and prioritize business strategies.
• Assist in creating business development goals, strategy and tools for growth and be able to track and measure.
• Provide tactical support and oversight and/or leadership for special projects and business initiatives from ideation to implementation.
• Lean in with recommendations and consultation to improve alignment across the Lyric ecosystem, to drive partnerships and growth.
• Assist with the determination of key performance indicators and how to measure team performance.
• Plan, coordinate, and keep the contents of a meetings and working sessions focused.
• Work with leadership to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress toward goals.
• Identify and help solve core problems or opportunities within business processes.
• Provide VP and other senior leaders with insight and analysis on operations.
• Assist with assessing the risk when business decisions are made.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
• BA/BS in Business Administration, or the equivalent in education and experience.
• 8+ years in a business environment with hands on experience in management of service and operational teams.
• Extensive experience in operations or process improvement, with in-depth knowledge of delivering a high-quality client experience.
• Proven track record of translating progress and status into visually appealing presentations and communications for a range of audiences.

• MBA and/or advanced degree.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work across organizations with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to produce high quality and volume at a fast pace.
• Ability to work with different time zones, different cultures and different geographies and with all levels of leadership.
• Knowledge of the business services / enterprise software / human capital management industry.
• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
• A person who thinks and acts at the senior level.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of time, depending on business needs.
